The 50-hour Danny Boy marathon wraps up today at 5PM, at AJ's Music Cafe, in downtown Ferndale. Singers are still needed today. Peformers can sing the song karioke-style, with a group, with an instrument, or any other way imaginable. Already there've been rap versions, country-western, dramatic readings, and even Bob Dylanesque versions.
News of the marathon has been reported worldwide. AJ O'Niel has been on the phone with radio, TV, and newspapers from China, Russia, Australia, Canada, and everywhere in-between.
AJ's Cafe is located 240 W. Nine Mile Rd., on the north side of the street just west of Woodward.
